Pattern collection
We cast each part in sand molds imprinted from patterns. We currently have more than 7000 patterns stored in our warehouses, most of which belong to our customers. Specific agreements with our clients outline the responsibility of each party and are available upon request. The exclusive use of the pattern and our guarantee of confidentiality are key elements of those agreements.
For the initial casting, we normally take care of the fabrication of the pattern so that it is optimized for our processes.
Many of our customers ask us to cast parts from existing patterns that they already own. In such cases, we apply the same rigorous standards and, when necessary, we submit required changes to the customer’s approval.
At Saguenay Foundry, we are fully aware of the strategic and monetary value of our clients’ pattern collections. We therefore monitor the movement of all parts by computer and rigorously plan all maintenance operations performed on them.
