Thermal treatment
When thermal treatment is required, the casting is transferred to Saguenay Foundry’s state-of-the-art electrical furnace, capable of treating parts as big as 84” X 96” X 42”.Equipped with a programmable control unit and a digital graphic recorder, our furnace enables us to precisely monitor the treatment and insure that it meets the client’s requirements. The treatment of larger castings is entrusted to either of two local suppliers, under the supervision of our metallurgical technician.
