Sand casting

After the prescribed alloy has been elaborated with the help of a state-of-the-art process, it is poured into the sand mold through a network of feed runners specially configured to meet the specific requirements of each part.

Saguenay Foundry strictly enforces the metal inoculation and conversion stages and the casting temperature is monitored with the utmost precision and quality.

The casting then goes through a slow, in-mold cooling that ensures consistency throughout the part, before shakeout.
