Pattern development
Materials used for patterns
The patterns that we use are generally made of wood, though composite materials and aluminum are also used on occasion. Foam can be used for very short production runs of simple parts. For more complex parts needed only once or twice, Nopatech™ is the best alternative. Most patterns are complex ensembles made up of numerous parts. Upon request, we can also offer warehouse space to store your pattern.
Patterns designed with casting efficiency in mind
The majority of our patterns are developed by third-party contractors familiar with our processes, and are thus designed to produce mold of superior quality for maximum casting efficiency. This allows us to produce parts at competitive prices while insuring superior aesthetics and strict compliance with our clients’ specifications.
We believe in the importance of working hand in hand with our clients during the development of the patterns in order to optimize their performance. The careful study of the location of the shakeout angles, of the surplus material needed for machining and of the relevance of holes and cavities early on during the development process translates into significant savings for our clients.
