Iron Castings Process
Saguenay Foundry specializes in both sand mold imprinted from patterns castings and Nopatech castings produced without pattern for short runs production. The production of castings with sand mould requires many steps to ensure our products quality:
- Fluid analysis
- Pattern and mold production
- Pouring and release
- Value-Added Services
- Final Inspection
For the initial casting, we normally take care of the fabrication of the pattern so that it’s optimized for our processes. However, many of our customers ask us to cast parts from existing patterns. In such cases, we apply the same rigorous standards and, when necessary, we submit required changes to get the customer’s approval.
